I had a small dinner get together on Saturday night with a few of my girlfriends and Dad's college pal Ted Wilson. Dinner was salmon chowder which was a hit, and the conversation was flowing. The girls enjoyed listening to Dad and Ted recollect fun stories of their younger years!
The next morning Dad joined me for cooking at Carpenter's Shelter! He made some great pancakes and had fun charting with Ruth Ann and our other volunteers. We finished up by enjoying breakfast as a group and then attended the 9:30 service. Dad enjoyed my pastor's passion and compared his preaching to the enthusiasm of Billy Graham.
After church on Sunday we drove to DC and enjoyed the great weather and a nice walk from my office to the MLK Jr Memorial.
We waited for the bus and tried to stay warm yesterday morning before Dad headed off to Dulles. I miss him already! Love you Dad!
